This week America was stunned when news reporter Alison Parker and her cameraman Adam Ward were murdered on live TV by Vester Flanagan, a former reporter who claimed the motivation for his monstrous act was to start a race war.
Flanagan sent a “manifesto” to ABC News detailing his “reasons” for the killings.
In that 32-page rant, Flanagan claimed Parker said racist things, which is why he targeted her specifically. He repeated the charge on Twitter, using his TV news pseudonym, Bryce Williams:
Well, we now know the list of phrases she used that ultimately sealed her fate.
To call them “racist” is unbelievable…

[P]art of his reasoning involved words Parker used when interning for the station in 2012.
“One of Williams’ complaints was something about ‘swinging’ by some place; the other was out in the ‘field,’” according to a Jan. 21 internal report filed by assistant news director Greg Baldwin, according to the New York Post.
“That’s how that guy’s mind worked. Just crazy, left-field assumptions like that,” a WDBJ video editor told the Post.
“That was his MO — to start s- -t,” he added. “He was unstable. One time, after one of our live shots failed, he threw all his stuff down and ran into the woods for like 20 minutes. Then blamed others for the failure.”
WDBJ cameraman Trevor Fair agreed.
“We would say stuff like, ‘The reporter’s out in the field.’ And he would look at us and say, ‘What are you saying, cotton fields? That’s racist,’” he said.
“We’d be like, ‘What?’ We all know what that means, but he took it as cotton fields, and therefore we’re all racists,” Fair added.
The crazy doesn’t end there either.
Flanagan also believed that when White co-workers brought watermelon for the office as a summer snack, it was a specific racist “attack” on him.
A former classmate of Parker’s, Jessica Albert — who’s black — says there’s no way the deceased journalist was racist, stating that she recommended her for a job in the journalism field.
Flanagan’s work history clearly indicates he was extremely paranoid, prone to violence, and was definitely influenced, to some degree, by those who gin up racial conflict in this country.
Progressives in culture and media have pushed a narrative that is dividing folks by color and is creating an atmosphere where everything you do can be misconstrued as racism, making folks of all races a bit edgy.
At college campuses, and in the workplace, political correctness on race has reached an extreme degree, with terms like “microaggressions” and “trigger” words being applied to completely innocuous things like a taco, the term “melting pot” or even the term “master” as in a “Master’s Degree” being called a racist “trigger” word about slavery,” by some leftist wack jobs.
Flanagan had repeatedly filed complaints with Civil Rights departments in at least 2 states, and EEOC complaints in which he falsely accused dozens of White people of racism over similarly innocuous terms.
Of course extreme political correctness that isn’t what caused this guy to lose his mind and shoot people that was the monstrous evil in his soul — but it certainly didn’t help matters either.
It’s truly time to stop allowing the media to stir the pot and keep racial tensions stoked like they have so we can have real discussions about the issues that face our nation without feeling the need to hate on one another.
When people like Al Sharpton or Barack Obama or the “Black Lives Matter” protesters make everything about race to divide America for their own political benefit, it is dead wrong, and it’s up to all of us to stand up and demand it stop.
